BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: The Advanced Service Technician is responsible for providing technical support for most workstation support issues, many server issues, and some network issues. You will provide customer support both on-site at client's facilities and remotely from our office.

HOURS: Full-time, 8am to 5pm, M-F. Occasional Overtime and/or On-call.

PAY: depending on certifications & qualifications.

LOCATION: Baton Rouge, LA

QUALIFICATIONS - The ideal candidate for the Advanced Service Technician position will possess the following:

· Strong technical competencies!

· Excellent communication and organizational skills

· CURRENT I.T. Professional certifications from leading vendors & organizations like COMPTIA, Cisco and VMware, while not a mandatory requirement for this position, will certainly help bring your resume to the top of the stack. A current Microsoft certification is required.

· Bonus skills: If you have other technical skills (e.g. Mac OS, Website Design, Programming), let us know. These are not required for this position, but they could help.



RESPONSIBILITIES - As an Advanced Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing the following duties:

· Proactively monitor client computer systems and resolve issues as they come up

· Provide Clients with effective technical support both remotely and on-site

· Coordinate and implement projects with additional resources

· Review invoices for Clients for whom you are responsible

· Support and contribute to the development of the our internal way of performing technical services and interacting with the Client

· Work with managers, peers, vendors and Clients to design and implement solutions

· Respect the Client and consider their business objectives when developing and implementing solutions

· Follow directions from managers, and show great attention to detail

· Document the work you perform in a timely, complete, and accurate manner

· Continue professional education by obtaining relevant technical certifications

THIS MOTIVATED TEAM PLAYER WILL ALSO POSESS THE FOLLOWING ATTRIBUTES, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

· Strong diagnostic skills are a must!

· Experience with all aspects of I.T. security (firewalls, monitoring, antivirus, anti-malware, etc.)

· Proven competencies with servers, routers, wireless and wired infrastructure, firewalls, managed switches and be able to diagnose and solve computer and network problems, including hardware, software and connectivity issues in a timely manner with limited resources

· Experience designing and deploying networks including server, transport layer equipment, workstations, backups, basic security software and hardware

· Ability to diagnose and solve computer problems, including hardware (PC, basic server, switch, modem, etc.), software and connectivity issues in a timely manner with limited resources

· Ability to make judgment calls in a timely manner on problems that require escalation to management and/or non-standard solutions

· Capable of interacting with team members in professional manner

· Be a self-starter

· Reliable transportation and insurance as required by law
